About The Position

- The Behavioral Tech II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to individuals with behavioral health needs during the second shift. This role involves supporting the clinical team in implementing treatment plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients, and fostering a therapeutic environment conducive to recovery and personal growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting or similar environment.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders or substance abuse issues.
  • Previous experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic health record systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care, with a focus on promoting recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and observe clients to ensure their safety and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Assist in the implementation of therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by clinical staff.
  • Document client behaviors, progress, and any incidents accurately and promptly in accordance with center policies.
  • Support clients in developing daily living skills and coping strategies.
  • Facilitate group activities and discussions to promote engagement and social interaction among clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Respond to crisis situations effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques and seeking assistance when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health care.
