About The Position

- The Behavioral Tech II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to individuals with behavioral health needs during the second shift. This role involves supporting the clinical team in implementing treatment plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients, and fostering a therapeutic environment conducive to recovery and personal growth.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting or similar environment.
Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders or substance abuse issues.
Previous experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and electronic health record systems.
Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care, with a focus on promoting recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities

Monitor and observe clients to ensure their safety and adherence to treatment plans.
Assist in the implementation of therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by clinical staff.
Document client behaviors, progress, and any incidents accurately and promptly in accordance with center policies.
Support clients in developing daily living skills and coping strategies.
Facilitate group activities and discussions to promote engagement and social interaction among clients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
Respond to crisis situations effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques and seeking assistance when necessary.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health care.
