About The Position

Responsible for providing assessment, crisis intervention, individual, and group therapy as well as case management. Develop and monitor service plans, treatment progress, document interactions and maintain clinical records and other reporting data for clients with mild to severe mental illness, disorders, and/or disabilities and substance use disorders. Coordinate with internal as well as external supportive services to deliver services to clients. Collaborate with medical providers, nurses, behavioral health technicians, case managers, peer specialists and psychiatrists regarding treatment. The role will work with and advocate for diverse and often marginalized populations daily to provide interventions, support, and resources, and to ensure that the appropriate services are offered in an inclusive and equitable manner. Residential (Garcia House) - a specialty co-occurring residential program providing comprehensive ASAM 3.7 and 3.5 residential treatment to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in the Human Services field from an accredited College or University required
  • Colorado license candidacy required with DORA
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record
  • CPR and First Aid certifications may be required for certain locations

Nice To Haves

  • Current Colorado professional license in appropriate discipline (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC) preferred
  • Experience in coordinating mental health intervention plans and services with other agencies preferred
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide/facilitate a wide variety of individual and group therapeutic and rehabilitative activities to achieve goals of service/recovery/treatment plans and to prevent deterioration, and hospitalization.
  • Intervene and de-escalate crisis situations with clients. Assess the risk of harm to self or others, create comprehensive safety plans, and arrange needed resources.
  • Observe clients in a variety of situations; assess mental status of client and formulate treatment plans and goals.
  • Assist clients in improving their well-being and quality of life by training in behavioral skills; educating clients to make informed choices; developing clients coping skills, helping clients to problem solve, and negotiating tasks of daily living.
  • Document treatment plans, progress reports, group notes, individual notes.
