About The Position

Responsible for providing active leadership in our inpatient/residential programs to ensure the successful delivery of services. In collaboration with management and staff, the Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor will identify opportunities to standardize and streamline services or workflows, helping to establish standards and processes which ensure organizational resources are being utilized to optimal levels.  This position will demonstrate a commitment and provide leadership for Summitstone Health Partner’s values by delivering visionary and operational leadership while fostering trust, collaboration, and a diverse and inclusive environment. Position individual, group, family, and crisis therapeutic interventions. Monitor service plans, documents interactions, maintain clinical records and other necessary information for clients served.

Requirements

  • More than five years of experience in behavioral health setting or programs required
  • Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in Colorado preferred
  • Substance Use Disorder training program involvement required upon hire
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in health/human services preferred
  • More than two years of experience leading a team preferred
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily on-site operation including directing the daily workflow of Behavioral Health Technician and Safety Support employees and training staff on appropriate processes and procedures.  Provide feedback, and oversee performance management, including managing personnel matters, and offer ongoing coaching to support employee development and address problems as they arise.
  • Provide crisis intervention, resolve conflicts between clients, and de-escalate clients as needed.  Serve as a resource and lead the work of staff on shift to best meet client needs.
  • Attend to immediate needs of staff, manage employee time off requests, review and approve timecards, and ensure adherence to company policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Create and maintain a trauma-informed and therapeutic environment for every client.
  • Work collaboratively with the facility leadership team to improve quality of care and continuous process improvement projects. 
  • Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance in clinical and administrative areas. Onboard new team members to Acute Care Services. Provide feedback to staff and address performance issues or disciplinary action when needed.
  • Lead, respond to, and intervene in codes and drills on the units.   
  • Co-lead or attend all regularly scheduled supervision, staff, debriefing and peer review meetings.
