About The Position

A successful Behavioral Health (BH) Services Manager must be passionate about healthcare and want to make a difference in the lives of others while acting as a mission-driven catalyst to help Livingston Community Health deliver the best quality of care and excellent service to our patients and their families. The Behavioral Health (BH) Services Manager provides operational and programmatic support to the Behavioral Health Department. This role focuses on strengthening systems, overseeing department workflows, ensuring compliance with program and grant requirements, and supporting staff and leadership to deliver high-quality behavioral health services.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in healthcare or behavioral health operations, program coordination, or administration, with leadership preferred.
No clinical license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the AHA.
Valid driver's license
Strong understanding of behavioral health systems, community resources, and care coordination.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems (NextGen preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with clinic staff and leaders.
Strong organizational and grant application/management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

A background in behavioral health or healthcare administration is strongly preferred.
Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

Support the Behavioral Health Director in the planning, development, and oversight of BH programs.
Manage and monitor grant programs, including preparation of applications, tracking, reporting, and compliance.
Responsible for supporting departmental schedules, workload distribution, and performance management in coordination with leadership.
Develop and maintain program records, budgets, and reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
Coordinate quality improvement and accreditation-related activities within the department.
Review, update, and implement department policies, protocols, and procedures in collaboration with leadership.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in preparing data-driven reports for leadership.
Serve as a point of contact for patient and family concerns, working to resolve issues through established processes.
Lead or support special projects, trainings, and initiatives to improve efficiency and patient experience.
Develop instructional material and conduct training as needed.
Provide operational support to BH staff, including onboarding, orientation, and scheduling.
Partner with BH leadership and HR on employee relations matters.
Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative workplace culture.
Actively support strategic initiatives and goals for the BH department.
Demonstrates competence with the mission, vision, and values of the organization in providing quality services to the community.
