About The Position

Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Safety Coach to join the team. This role will be a Full Time Day Shift, 36 hours a week, 7a -7p, every other weekend included. Candidate will be orienting at Mt. Vernon hospital 5-6 weeks Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
2 years of relevant clinical work experience
Basic Life Support Upon Start from the American Heart Association- Upon Start.
Crisis Prevention Institute Within 3 Months

Responsibilities

Facilitates the debrief of a safety event or safety concern.
Participates in safety meetings and serve on the workplace violence committee.
Educates, trains, and mentors Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technicians on aspects of safety incident reporting.
Disseminates and delivers safety messaging as appropriate to the organization.
Provides direct care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
