Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) - Up to $32/hr!
About The Position
Woodfords Family Services has a exciting openings for Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) to join our growing team in the Greater Portland, ME area! These are casual/per-diem positions with a weekly schedule of afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. Woodfords' Rehabilitative & Community Supports (RCS) Program provides an array of evidence-based services to children and teens with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. As an RCS BHP, you will provide hands-on, one-to-one support to consumers and their families by implementing an individualized treatment plan that fosters and promotes skills related to behavior management/regulation, communication, independent living, self-care, and community integration.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid State of Maine driver's license and personal vehicle with current proof of auto insurance.
- Must complete training and obtain certification as Behavioral Health Professional within 1 year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children who have ASD preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and effectively modify interfering behaviors across multiple settings and environments (home, school, stores, park, etc.) through the use of evidence based practices & interventions.
- Complete and accurately document progress summaries of goals and objectives, as well as other required paperwork assigned by Field Supervisor.
- Travel and transport consumers to community activities as appropriate.
