OHSU Health Primary Care at South Hillsboro is part of HMC healthcare and OHSU School of Medicine. We provide preventive, primary and specialty care for you, your children, your spouse, your parents and your grandparents. The clinical work includes but is not limited to all ages of life including newborn to end of life, taking care of those who are pregnant, and supporting patients with substance use disorder including medication-assisted treatment and gender affirming care. This position supports both clinical and education missions within the Department of Family Medicine. The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) position is a behavioral health clinician who operates as a core member of the integrated care team within Family Medicine at Primary Care at HMC South Hillsboro. This position involves a high degree of clinical complexity and requires advanced-level generalist skill in delivering evidence-based interventions targeted to improve health and wellbeing for a large variety of patients across the lifespan. The BHC position serves as an advocate for integrated behavioral health within the primary care setting. This position also serves as the behavioral health team lead, providing direct support to the team through the development and management of work flows, management of schedules, direct clinical consultation and functions as a BH representative at clinic-based meetings. In addition to the clinical role, this position provides educational support to the Hillsboro Medical Center Family Medicine Residency through the development and delivery of behavioral science curriculum. This includes delivering didactic material, providing teaching in the clinical environment, participating in resident recruitment and interviews, participating in evaluation of residents, and working closely with the Residency Program Director to meet the behavioral science educational needs of all HMC family medicine residents.
