About The Position

This position is for a Behavioral Health Clinician at Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center in New Jersey. The role involves providing short-term psychotherapeutic services, including individual, marital, family, and group treatment. The Atlantic Behavioral Health team focuses on the significant role behavioral health plays in the healing process for patients dealing with mental health disorders, substance abuse, and those recovering from physical ailments, offering both inpatient and outpatient mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Develops written individual recovery plans.
  • Engages to enhance functioning, effective coping, illness management, self-management, wellness and quality of life.
  • Partners with patient's family, peers, para-professionals and professionals in supporting, monitoring and stabilizing consumers in the community.
  • Participates in community events, human service meetings as appropriate or mandated.
  • Provides case management services.
  • Develops and maintains rich collaborative working relationships with hospital emergency departments, service providers, and agencies.
  • Maintains timely and complete chart documentation.
  • Incorporates use of criteria sets in context of utilization management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
