About The Position

The position is a temporary contracted position through June 2026. As per the Behavior Specialist II job description, the Rincon Middle School Behavior Specialist II is responsible for supporting at-risk students through intervention strategies, including monitoring Tier 1 Intervention Forms (TIFs), identifying behavioral patterns, and coordinating targeted interventions with staff. The specialist collaborates with CSAT and leads efforts by analyzing student histories, organizing meetings, and developing data-driven behavior intervention plans while also enhancing the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) within the school. Additionally, they facilitate restorative conversations that support the development of relational character and offer professional development to strengthen classroom management. The specialist oversees the Wellness Center, a supportive space designed to foster students’ social-emotional well-being, and establishes data collection systems for the space to identify trends and develop effective tier 2 or 3 intervention plans for students.
