About The Position
Eastern Market Brewing Co. is seeking an enthusiastic Beertender to join their taproom team. As a Beertender, you will pour and serve beer with knowledge, care, and personality, guiding guests through beer offerings, recommending selections based on their preferences, and educating them about brewing techniques, flavor profiles, and the company's beer styles. This role focuses on creating memorable experiences, sharing a passion for craft beer, and being part of a team that values intentionality, scrappiness, and kindness.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Passion for craft beer and enthusiasm for sharing it with others.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or bar/taproom role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Pour and serve a variety of craft beers accurately and efficiently.
- Educate guests about beer styles, flavor profiles, and brewing processes.
- Recommend beers based on guest preferences and tastes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the taproom and bar area.
- Monitor inventory, restock as needed, and assist with product rotation.
- Assist with events, special releases, and other taproom activities.
