About The Position

Valiant is looking for a Battlefield Effects Warehouse Specialist to join our team! Responsible for actions concerning the receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and maintenance of Battlefield Effects expendable and non-expendable supplies and property. This position performs technical supply management to include: inventory management, storage management, and property utilization of all Battlefield Effects property. Must be knowledgeable of AA&E procedures, storage, handling, and accountability of sensitive items i.e. M-8 pyro pistols, NVGs, storage in ARMAG IAW AR 190 series -11,-13, and -16. Responsible for verifying materials against receiving documents; notes and reports discrepancies or damage; oversees routing of materials to prescribed storage or use locations; and requires a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, nomenclature, and other established guidelines. Routinely requests materials requiring basic computing, filing, and Microsoft excel to maintain accountability and track requests; routinely uses military forms. Prepares and tracks purchase requests forms to acquire items needed for Battlefield Effects Branch to execute JRTC rotations and to fulfill work order requirements. Prepares Lost, Theft, Damage, and Destroyed (LTDD) forms on lost or damaged Battlefield Effects equipment. Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a supply technician.
  • Functional abilities with basic mathematics
  • Functional abilities with computers including use of MS Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently when needed.
  • Requires a SF 85 National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI): Investigation is required to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) to fulfill job requirement of having access to a government computer.
  • Must submit to and pass initial drug screening; must possess a valid Louisiana State Driver’s License (or equivalent).
  • Must be proficient in military communications procedures including using the phonetic alphabet and understanding call signs, pro-words, and acronyms.
  • Must be in good physical condition capable of prolonged sitting, standing and walking.
  • must be able to work all shifts including those lasting 12 hours or more and weekends.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years’ experience as a supply technician or previous military experience as a battalion-size (or equivalent) logistics.
