About The Position

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in behavioral health or criminal justice related field and one-year related work experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health or criminal justice related field and two years related work
  • Knowledge of a variety of educational techniques and demonstrated skill in applications of these
  • Knowledge of the standards for the Batterers Intervention
  • Knowledge of the psychological and physical effects of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and emotional abuse as well as issues of legality, ethics, and treatment of these.
  • Knowledge of perpetrators of violence issues including self-control, appropriate venting, etc.
  • Ability in not imposing self-values or judgments onto perpetrators of domestic violence, sexual assault or child abuse.
  • Experience with the batterer population

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide education for perpetrators of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
  • Provide initial assessments/interviews for potential group members and establish appropriate group
  • Perform assessment to be utilized by DA and court system and/or DHS
  • Maintain accurate statistical information required by the

  • Maintain accurate records for client fees including but not limited to the following: psychological evaluations, intake information, confidentiality, informed consent, client rights and release of information forms, case notes, treatment plans, contracts, admissions, discharges, and discharge
  • Provide biannual audits of MENders client files in order to maintain client rights and release of information forms, case notes, treatment plans, contracts, admissions, discharges, and discharge
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and required in-service
