Overview: This position delivers prompt, friendly, courteous service to Guests ensuring all order for guests and servers are done accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume fine dining environment.
  • Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, including appropriate pours and mixology.
  • Previous cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a valid TABC and Food Handlers certification upon hire.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, and twisting. Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers.
  • Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers and wines.
  • Upsell and suggestive sell of both food and beverage to guests.
  • Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment.
  • Monitor environment in room (temperature, lighting, music, televisions).
  • Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
  • Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is serve only to those patrons of legal drinking age.
  • Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated.
  • Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues.
