About The Position

Olive & Finch Collective is a Denver-based hospitality group committed to fresh, chef-driven meals, exceptional guest experiences, and a people-first culture. The Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and espresso beverages quickly and accurately, following Olive & Finch recipes and build guides. This role performs all FOH Crew and Cashier responsibilities, ensuring a seamless guest experience while maintaining a clean and organized café environment. As a Crew Level 3 position, the Barista plays a critical role in representing the Olive & Finch brand and delivering excellent hospitality.

Requirements

  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and consistently follow recipes and build guides.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly while maintaining quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability to work mornings, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous barista or specialty coffee experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all FOH Crew responsibilities including greeting guests, bussing tables, running food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Perform all Cashier responsibilities including ringing in orders, processing payments, reconciling cash drawers, and selling gift cards.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, and other drinks according to Olive & Finch recipes and build guides.
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment to ensure optimal quality and consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including restocking supplies as needed.
  • Provide friendly, efficient service to guests and answer questions about menu items.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures, including proper milk handling and equipment cleaning.
  • Collaborate with FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth service and uphold brand standards.
