BARISTA/CLERK ORGANIZATION: Switchpoint Coffee Co. Tooele FRIENDS OF SWITCHPOINT IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT HAS BEEN SERVING THOSE INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND VETERANS IN WASHINGTON COUNTY WHO ARE EXPERIENCING POVERTY AND HOMELESSNESS SINCE 2014. Requirements

Previous work experience as a barista, Food Server or similar role
Hands on experience with brewing equipment
Knowledge of sanitation regulations
Flexibility to work various shifts
Basic math skills
Excellent communication skills
High school diploma: relevant training is a plus

Responsibilities

Take customer orders using Clover POS system, cash, Venmo
Prepare and serve drinks and Cookies
Clean customer seating areas, empty trash, keep bathroom clean
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
Ensure that all supplies are organized and stored in their proper place
Employee(s) have a responsibility to report employee safety, food safety and/or quality concerns to Lead Barista or Manager
Perform all other related duties as assigned
Learn about and share your knowledge of Switchpoint Coffee Co. with customers
Assist Lead Barista and manager and volunteers with other assigned duties
Greet and interact with customers
Educate customers about menu items and answer any questions
Take orders with attention to detail, such as allergies and preferences
Follow recipes to prepare beverages
Serve coffee, team and other beverages as well as cafe food items
Receive and process cash, debit and credit payments
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Maintain espresso and brewing equipment to ensure proper function and identify repair or maintenance needs
Comply with health and safety regulation
Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
