This role is ideal for a seasoned barista leader with hands‑on experience operating manual espresso machines, a passion for specialty coffee, and the ability to train and inspire a high‑performing team in a polished corporate setting. The Barista Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations from open to close, maintaining cost and quality standards, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience while exceeding sanitation and safety expectations.

Requirements

  • Previous hands‑on barista experience required
  • Three to five years of upscale café or food service experience, including at least two years in a management or lead role
  • Strong leadership, training, scheduling, coaching, and team development skills
  • Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and café equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily café operations, ensuring consistent delivery of premium coffee beverages and service
  • Operate and oversee the use of manual / non‑automated espresso machines, maintaining equipment and beverage standards
  • Prepare and execute high‑quality espresso beverages; latte art experience, a plus.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and coach baristas and supervisory staff
  • Develop team expertise in espresso extraction, milk texturing, beverage presentation, and customer engagement
  • Plan schedules, assign responsibilities, and direct workflow to meet service demands
  • Maintain established cost controls while upholding luxury‑level quality standards
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and cleaning standards
  • Prepare and maintain daily volume and trend analysis reports
  • Plan, market, and execute café promotions and special corporate events
  • Participate in employee meetings, performance reviews, and professional development
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support café and client needs
