About The Position
We are seeking a hardworking, detail-oriented Barback to support our bartending team in a high-energy, intimate speakeasy environment. This role is essential to ensuring smooth bar operations, maintaining the ambiance of the space, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Requirements
- Previous barback or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar operations
- Experience in upscale, craft cocktail, or speakeasy-style venues
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Stock and replenish bar inventory including liquor, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes, and ice
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, storage areas, and service stations
- Assist bartenders with preparation tasks (cutting fruit, batching cocktails, restocking supplies)
- Ensure bar equipment is clean, polished, and functioning properly
- Remove glassware and maintain cleanliness throughout service
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Support the team in maintaining the speakeasy’s unique atmosphere, including discretion and professionalism
