The Bar & Banquets Attendant is responsible for completing opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and securing the premises. This role involves checking with a captain or supervisor before ending a shift, setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas, and ensuring a steady supply of ice, glassware, and paper goods. The attendant must remove soiled wares, maintain the cleanliness and condition of all work areas, the bar, bar unit, and tables, adhering to all set-up guidelines. Key responsibilities also include following all company safety and security policies, reporting unsafe conditions, completing required safety training, and maintaining a professional appearance. The attendant is expected to uphold confidentiality, protect company assets, and provide excellent guest service by welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating their needs, assisting those with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication, positive working relationships with colleagues, and adherence to quality standards are essential.
