About The Position

The Banquet Captain leads the Banquet associates during events by overseeing the setup, food service, and breakdown. They communicate with guests to ensure their needs are metWorking with the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Captain plans serving arrangements and identifies any needed extra staffing or equipment. They also collaborate with the Banquet Chef to ensure food flows smoothly from the kitchen to the table. Why Join US? Requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar position is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise temporary banquet staff.
  • Oversee staff during setup, service, and cleanup of events.
  • Confirm room assignments and updates at the start of your shift.
  • Check-in servers, assign stations and clarify duties.
  • Set up buffet and food service areas correctly.
  • Ensure events start on time and rooms are ready 20 minutes early.
  • Check that function rooms and areas are clean after events and equipment is stored properly.
  • Train servers as needed.
