About The Position

Actively participates in the Bank's asset/liability management function to review conditions and assist in developing long-range strategies. Oversee and execute daily operations and functions of the Accounting Department ensuring effective and efficient use of time and resources. Review general ledger reports daily to ensure accuracy. Monitor all accounts for accuracy of general ledger postings. Reviews payable for prior-month expense accruals and adjust as necessary. Compare income vs. expense for significant variances prior to month-end closing; adjusts accordingly and proceeds with closing process. Prepares and/or directs the preparation of various internal rate sensitivity analysis, spread analysis, key ratios reports, comparative balance sheets and income statements. Ensures adequate information for the preparation of various required external government reports. Assists in developing and cooperates with, participates in and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements; ensures that the department and all personnel adhere to the same.. Assists in preparing the annual budget. Assists in monitoring daily cash activity to help identify changes in liquidity which could trigger a change in funds management strategies. Assists in overseeing the investment portfolio. Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting daily and monthly analytical reviews. Also, confirms financial condition by providing requested information to auditors and examiners, as necessary. Develops resources, as appropriate, to improve efficiency and productivity. Prepare financial reporting for Board of Directors. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances. Assist CEO and other team members with various projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in Business, Accounting or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years accounting experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities of this role
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills
  • Proficiency in interpreting, analyzing, and reporting financial information
  • Knowledge of current banking regulations
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
  • Proficient technology skills
  • Demonstrated management and supervisory skills
