About The Position

McDivitt Law Firm is seeking a Balance Coordinator to join our office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. Our firm focuses on Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation, and we are looking for a dependable professional who can help keep cases moving efficiently while supporting both clients and attorneys. This is a full-time, fully in-office position, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Personal injury and/or law firm experience preferred, but not required
Prior experience in a legal assistant, case assistant, claims, customer service, or office support role preferred
At least 1 year of office-based customer service experience required
Strong administrative, organizational, and follow-up skills required
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Accurate typing speed of 65 WPM required; typing assessment will be administered

Nice To Haves

Bilingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities

Confirming balances for cases in negotiations.
Review medical bill for accuracy and cross reference damages.
Work alongside Case Managers to confirm information given by the client (HICO, Med pay benefits)
Comply with provider requests such as their own HIPAAs being fulfilled.
Resolving coordination of benefits issues.
Calling health insurance with client to resolve billing issues.
Calling Medicaid with clients when providers fail to bill Medicaid.
Ensuring that bills do not go to collections when insurance is active.
Additional duties as assigned.
Back-up coverage to front desk.
