The bakery specialist at the Culinary Support Center (CSC) Bakery will help produce numerous baked goods for BYU Dining Services. These baked goods are distributed to various Dining locations across campus.

Requirements

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
  • 1 year of full-time equivalent bakery production experience or a culinary certification/degree from an accredited culinary school
  • A physical exam and lift test will be conducted as a part of the hiring process for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Learn bakery standard operations procedures
  • Production of cakes, breads, cookies and desserts for campus dining operations
  • Prepare and organize orders
  • Utilize computerized inventory/ordering system to establish production schedules
  • Verify product inventories
  • Completing training and food safety courses per CSC requirements
  • Cleaning and sanitizing bakery equipment and preparation surfaces
  • Supervise part-time and student employees
