About The Position

Baker Assistants are responsible for assisting the whole department, as needed. Baker Assistants work directly under the Bakery Team Leader, aiding in production on the bread, oven, and bagel sides of the department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years’ experience, with extensive product knowledge
• Safely use/operate mixer, proofer, bagel oven, knives, scales, and wrapping machine
• Great customer service
• Good oral communication skills
• Great work ethic
• Problem solver
• Self-motivator
• Flexible
• Honest

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, bagels, cookies, muffins, etc.
• Aid in bagel production
• Exam products on the floor, being mindful of production dates
• Stock/maintain shelves and cases
• Provides excellent customer service by greeting and responding to customers
• Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
• Assist in other duties, as assigned
