Bag Check Attendant
About The Position
Bag Check team members work directly with our operations supervisors and management staff. They are responsible for greeting our guests in a kind professional manner while promoting safety. The Bag Check area is the facility’s main security point on property and is critical to park operation during the season. This position communicates directly with our guests and explains our park policies prior to entering the facility. Minimum Age Requirement: 16 Years Old This is a seasonal position beginning as early as Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Department Training and Orientation must be attended prior to starting.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Personal drive, action-oriented, quick learner.
- Ability to observe and analyze safety situations and determine appropriate course of action.
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced team environment as well as work independently.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, multi-tasking, and problem solving skills.
- Training on proper inspections and water attractions will be provided to the right candidate.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outside for long periods of time in all weather conditions, this can include rain, wind, and heat.
- Flexible Schedule.
- Must be prepared to work weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all guests are greeted with responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
- Inspects all bags and strollers being brought into the facility and re-checking upon re-entry.
- Ensures that guests comply with the park policies and do not bring in unapproved items.
- Provides information on all items prohibited, while giving clear alternative options.
- Performs routine trash clean up of the security checkpoint, the main entrance, and all trash/recycle containers.
- Responds to all guests needs while maintaining the highest level of guest relations and professionalism at all times.
- Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings, training programs as required.
- Willing to assist in other areas of park operations such as Parking, Main Gate Operations, Locker Rentals, Arcade, and Slide Attendants.
- All Splashdown Beach staff are required to assist in maintaining park cleanliness and ensuring guest safety.
