About The Position

The Badging Clerk is responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing the
credentialing, vetting, and access authorization process for all personnel,
contractors, and visitors requiring entry to a federal installation. This
position ensures compliance with federal security regulations, installation
access control policies, and all supporting directives governing identity
verification and access eligibility.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma
• Must be 21 years old at time of hire
• Must have United States Citizenship (if naturalized, then must provide original certificate for inspection and copying)
• Must successfully complete drug screening requirements
• Must pass criminal background check
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Record clear of any Domestic Violence Convictions
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Able to understand written and verbal orders
• Able to fill out daily work and time sheet
• Must be able to stand/be on feet for 8 hours
• Must be able to walk to work areas

Responsibilities

• Supervise credentialing office personnel
• Oversee credentialing office records
• Maintain all credential records
• Maintain all credentialing systems
• Supervise and conduct background checks
• Ensure all vetting procedures are being followed in accordance with policy and regulation
• Perform other duties as assigned
