Requirements

  • Strong client focus, sound judgment, and ability to tactfully and discreetly handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, resolves conflict, manage client expectations and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with the uncertainties of an evolving, dynamic organization.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, databases- Taleo, Salesforce, Workday a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and draw sound conclusions.
  • Maintains client confidentiality and protects operations by keeping Corporate Security and Human Resources information confidential, and ensuring that client information is handled, transmitted and stored in accordance with Firm policy.
  • Professionalism, sensitivity, and discretion are required.
  • 3 yrs of Onboarding/HR experience
  • Required: Experience with background investigations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Financial Services or Insurance Companies (strong plus)
  • Experience with background check vendors (Strong plus)

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume background screening caseload, ensuring all screenings are completed prior to agreed start dates.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, candidates, and employees to coordinate and facilitate the end-to-end U.S. background screening process in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of: End-to-end U.S. background screening procedures S. criminal screening processes and jurisdictional requirements Dispute and adjudication processes Education verification requirements and escalation protocols Footprint checks with FIB (Financial Industry Background), where applicable
  • Conduct and review education verifications and FIB footprint checks in accordance with regulatory standards, financial industry requirements, and internal compliance policies.
  • Review screening results and investigate discrepancies flagged by third-party vendors, including education, employment, criminal, or FIB-related findings.
  • Administer and follow up on Requests for Information (RFI) to facilitate verifications and address education, employment, criminal, FIB, or other adverse findings.
  • Escalate adverse or complex screening results to Senior Management, Compliance, Human Resources, and Employment Law teams to ensure appropriate review, adjudication, and disposition in accordance with internal policies and local regulations.
  • Interface with HR onboarding services and third-party background screening vendors to ensure seamless coordination and timely resolution of cases.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance screening processes and support potential expansion of responsibilities beyond core screening functions.
