Backend Engineer / Implementation Engineer
About The Position

We’re hiring a backend and full-stack engineer to join our distributed engineering team. You’ll help us scale our integration layer, provide technical expertise for complex customer implementations, push the boundaries of applied AI in enterprise software, and deliver a platform trusted by finance/operations leaders across a wide range of industries.
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of software engineering experience
- Comfort working in fast-moving startup environments with technical ambiguity
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers
- Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails (core stack) and familiarity with Python and Go.
- Experience building integration solutions with various types of APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON-RPC, flat files [CSVs], etc)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with enterprise SaaS or B2B integrations is a major plus
- Familiarity with building Agentic AI systems
Responsibilities
- Support customer integration requirements across the industry’s largest ERP and HR systems (e.g. NetSuite, Sage, SAP, UKG, Campfire, Emburse)
- Participate in architecture and roadmap discussions shaping Datanamic’s core AI product
- Write high-quality, production-ready code that can handle enterprise workloads
- Develop features end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy
