What You’ll Do Administer and maintain Azure SQL Database and SQL Managed Instances. Configure, monitor, and optimize Azure SQL Databases for high availability and disaster recovery. Implement and manage backup strategies, performance tuning, and query optimization. Ensure compliance with security best practices, including encryption, access control, and auditing. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support database design, deployment, and troubleshooting. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools. Monitor system health and proactively resolve performance or capacity issues. Architect and maintain ETL Processes using Azure Data Factory What Are We Looking for in this Role? Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with at least 2+ years in Azure SQL environments. Strong knowledge of Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, and cloud architecture. Experience with high availability, geo-replication, and failover groups. Proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization. Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and automation tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. What are our Desired Skills and Capabilities? Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or other Azure data services. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate. Experience with migrating and/or architecting new databases, Oracle familiarity is a bonus.
