About The Position

CFSB is seeking a highly motivated and execution-focused Assistant Vice President (AVP), Talent and Training Programs to join the People Operations Learning team. This individual will support the VP, Talent and Training Programs Lead in designing, building, and executing the Bank’s talent development and training programs. The AVP will be responsible for identifying gaps, developing engaging and practical content, and ensuring the timely execution of training initiatives that strengthen compliance awareness and culture across the enterprise. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of compliance or training experience and thrives in a fast-paced environment where execution and precision are key.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certification in compliance or learning and development preferred.
  • 6+ years of compliance, training, or program execution experience.
  • Strong content development skills (PowerPoint, e-learning platforms, Training Materials)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive self-starter.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills, especially in policies/procedures or process materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LMS platforms, reporting, and learning administration strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP, Talent and Training Programs Lead to design and implement the enterprise talent development and training programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and organizational standards.
  • Identify program gaps and propose actionable solutions to improve effectiveness and reach.
  • Build and manage training plans, calendars, and delivery schedules.
  • Develop, draft, and refine training materials including presentations, e-learning modules, job aids, SharePoint pages, and reference guides.
  • Translate regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures into accessible, practical learning for diverse audiences.
  • Deliver or coordinate training sessions (live and virtual) across business lines and functions.
  • Track and monitor training completion analytics, metrics, and feedback across the bank.
  • Support the administration of new hire and annual curriculum rule assignments in the LMS.
  • Run LMS reports, validate data accuracy, and support audit/exam requests with required documentation.
  • Maintain records of training activities in accordance with regulatory standards and internal governance requirements.
  • Draft and update SOPs, process flows, job aids, and reference materials to support program operations.
  • Assist in ensuring all procedures related to talent development and training programs remain current, accurate, and audit ready.
  • Document requirements, meeting notes, and decisions for program governance forums.
  • Assist with the preparation, formatting, and refinement of training materials including presentations, communications, and guides.
  • Maintain the Learning SharePoint site for end-user access and OCC examinations.
  • Help translate technical or regulatory content into clear, professional, and learner-friendly materials.
  • Partner with People Operations, Compliance, and business leaders to support training delivery and address operational needs.
  • Help gather stakeholder feedback and ensure updates are incorporated into training content and documentation.
  • Support internal communications related to training programs, reminders, and updates.
