Job Summary The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Strategic Partnerships & Business Development is aleadership role responsible for driving organizational growth through the development,execution, and management of strategic partnerships and business initiatives.This role works closely with executive leadership to identify expansion opportunities,strengthen external relationships, and support long-term growth strategies. The AVP willlead partnership development efforts, evaluate new market opportunities, and overseeinitiatives that enhance revenue, access, and service delivery across the organization. Thisrole involves managing the health plan growth initiatives. You will build relationships andwork in collaborating with the sales and community outreach teams at the different healthplans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategicpartnerships, or healthcare strategy
  • Proven track record of driving growth and developing successful partnerships
  • Experience in healthcare, population health, or multi-site provider organizationsstrongly preferred
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
  • Financial acumen with experience building business cases and analyzing ROI
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational alignment

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related field) preferred
  • Experience in value-based care, ACOs, or managed care partnerships
  • Familiarity with healthcare ecosystems, including payers, providers, andcommunity organizations
  • Experience working in high-growth or transformation environments

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Business Development
  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizationalgoals
  • Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, including partnerships, service lineexpansion, and market entry initiatives
  • Lead negotiations and execution of strategic partnerships, affiliations, and jointventures
  • Drive initiatives that expand patient access, referral networks, and revenue streamsPartnership Development & Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, health systems,community organizations, and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary liaison for key strategic partners
  • Evaluate partnership performance and ensure alignment with organizationalobjectives
  • Identify opportunities to deepen and expand existing partnerships
  • Market Analysis & Strategy
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends andopportunities
  • Develop business cases and financial models to support new initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends, including value-based care, population health, andhealthcare innovation
  • Operational Execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, operations, finance, and marketingteams to implement new initiatives
  • Oversee project management of strategic initiatives from concept throughexecution
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting defined KPIs and ROI targets
  • Financial Performance & Reporting
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to growth,partnerships, and revenue
  • Partner with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Analyze performance data to inform strategic decision-making

  • Lead and develop business development and partnerships team
