About The Position

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. The AVP of Health Operations serves as the strategic operational leader for our Benefits Healthcare team, overseeing the performance, financial stewardship, and compliance of over 60 health and wellbeing vendors. This role acts as the critical link between benefits strategy and execution, ensuring seamless healthcare delivery and a world-class experience for our employees and their families. Successful candidates will drive vendor accountability and mitigate operational risk while leading the implementation of innovative wellbeing initiatives across the enterprise. Overall Purpose: Responsible for overseeing comprehensive employee benefits programs that align with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 10+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Benefits Plan Design and Development: Spearheading the creation and proposal of benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks. Ensuring these offerings are competitive and cost-effective to attract and retain top talent.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Leading a team of benefit professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Compliance and Regulation Leadership: Overseeing and ensuring that all benefits programs are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Implementing policies to maintain regulatory standards and mitigate risks.
  • Financial Oversight and Budgeting: Conducting thorough financial analyses of benefits plans, including cost projections and budgeting. Developing strategies to optimize benefits costs while maintaining high-quality offerings.
  • Vendor Management and Negotiation: Leading the evaluation and selection of benefits providers. Negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to secure the best value and service for the organization.
