This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will be in charge of engineering, designing, and coding electronic tools and macros that will support the avionics ecosystem for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the avionics overall strategy. As an Avionics Design Engineer (Automation & Software) you will be responsible for the design of electronic tools for visualization, automation and verification of the avionics designs. Also, you will support the implementation of electronic tools and processes related to manufacturing automation, enhance reality and virtual reality. You will coordinate the integration and connectivity between the avionics ecosystem and other company tools and systems. You will support the design, manufacturing and installation teams with automation and design improvement initiatives in order to improve quality, increase rate and reduce cost We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
