Avionics Box Lead
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced hardware engineer to lead the endâtoâend development of a missionâcritical avionics box for a satellite program. The engineer will be the Certified Professional Engineer (CPE) responsible for the complete hardware lifecycle, including requirements definition, trade studies, solicitation and management of RFIs/RFPs, design, integration, verification, and contract oversight. This role will act as the technical authority and single point of accountability for the avionics box's performance, reliability, and compliance with program and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- 6+â¯years hardware design experience; at least 4â¯years leading avionics, missile, or satellite hardware programs.
- Proven track record managing RFIs/RFPs and vendor contracts.
- Familiarity with missile and satellite communications bus architecture
- This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
- Clearance Level: Secret
Nice To Haves
- Current or previous experience as a Certified Professional Engineer (CPE) at Lockheed Martin Space
- Experience with thermal, vibration, shock, and radiation testing
- Strong understanding of tradeâstudy methodology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Driven, self-starter
