Position: AVID Tutor (Part time, Temporary) Location: Valley View Middle School Rate of Pay: The hourly wage for this position is $21.06 per hour. Benefits: This is a temporary/casual position. Eligible employees will participate in the state's largest pension program, the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA). Leave benefits will be applied in accordance with Minnesota law. Daily Schedule: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm (Monday & Tuesday) Days per year: Student days only

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Interest in working in a student population
• Ability to effectively communicate with students and staff
• Ability to perceive students' needs and develop positive relationships
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to think and respond quickly while demonstrating patience
• Ability to use a computer to access shared Google files and facilitate Google Meets

Nice To Haves

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education or two years of post-secondary education preferred
