About The Position

With locations in 15 countries across Europe, North America and Asia, Daher designs and develops value-added solutions for its aeronautical and industrial customers and partners Daher is seeking to hire a Aircraft Quality Manager to join our new TBM Final Assembly Line in Stuart, Florida. This role is responsible for overseeing the Quality function within the organization in partnership with Operations and other departments. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the Quality Department with all levels of management and regulatory agencies. Direct, plan, and layout details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer's specifications. Supervise, assist, and direct all personnel assigned to the Inspection Department. The Quality Manager will be accountable for establishing and maintaining quality management practices and performances in accordance with FAA, AS9100, and customer requirements. In addition, this person will continuously assess the effectiveness and suitability of the Quality Management System and recommend, implement, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a program to ensure that the organization's production operations meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization.

Requirements

  • High School/GED and a minimum of 10 years of general aviation, turboprop aviation, and quality control management experience.
  • A&P License.
  • IA Authorization.
  • Expert knowledge in FARs.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations and requirements pertaining to Part 145, 91, and 135 operations.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance planning/production control and repair services in a Part 145 environment.
  • Proficiency with production ERP Systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Proficiency with maintenance software programs (e.g., CAMP).
  • Familiarity with the import and export process of the aircraft.
  • Experienced in managing and maintaining a Quality Management System

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality policies, procedures, and all related technical data required.

  • Be thoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations in 14 CFR 135, 145 and with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations are being performed.
  • Leads and participates in the business unit quality audit and corrective action process by providing training, facilitation, recommendations, and leadership, as required, to achieve optimal results.
  • Assists external auditors from various quality associations.
  • Monitors, reviews, and conducts sub-contractor audits in liaison with supplier development.
  • Ensures proper procedures are performed on all completed work before it is released to service.
  • Completes all inspection and maintenance records, reports, and forms required before authorized release.
  • Ensure reports of Identification of Unairworthy Conditions (SDRs and SUPs) are captured and reported as required by the FAA, the customer, and the Aircraft Business Units.
  • Maintain and administer FAA guidance, Advisory Circulars (ACs), regulations, AD’s, and EASA regulations.
  • Monitor the internal audit and surveillance of required programs mandated by all regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure provisions are implemented to correct any discrepancies reported.
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures related to tool calibration, technical data, shelf-life, and scrap parts programs.
  • Oversee Training requirements and ensure employee training records are maintained up to date and current.
  • Maintain the master list and control of inspection stamps and maintain a current roster of authorized Supervisory and Inspection Personnel.
  • Writes QA process and inspection procedures and maintains databases for document control and corrective actions.
  • Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualifications, and writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain certification and compliance efforts for 14CFR PART145.
  • Provide managerial and technical oversight and effectively interact with regulatory and business partners to enhance and improve business and regulatory relationships.
  • Oversight of Quality Inspection, Designated Inspection and ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
