The Aviation Officer / Chief Pilot is responsible to the Director of Aviation Operations for the overall management, control, and execution of Department of Defense (DoD) flight and ground operations and for the leadership and regulatory compliance of the FAA Part 145 Repair Station supporting General Aviation operations. This position serves as the single accountable authority for the safe, compliant, and effective conduct of all government-authorized flight activities and all civil activities conducted under the FAA Repair Station certificate, ensuring full compliance with DCMA Instruction 8210, AR 95-1, FAA regulations, and Company Policies. The Chief Pilot is the primary technical and operational advisor to the Director of Aviation Operations and acts as the company's senior authority on flight operations, pilot qualification, aircraft authorization, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
