About The Position

Position Purpose: Provides operational and administrative support to the Chief Pilot on all day-to-day matters to include pilot scheduling, office invoice inquiries, vendor relations and negotiations, expense report review/ approval, standardization conformity flight checks and performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • 10 years of work experience
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • Type Rated in at least two corporate jet aircraft.
  • A complete understanding of customer service skills, and an indepth safety background
  • Effective communication skills.
  • General business familiarity of department budgets.
  • Polished organizational skills.
  • The ability to work with and lead a group of highly technical and detail orientated associates.

Responsibilities

  • Function as Pilot in Command on Home Depot aircraft for the purpose of maintaining a high degree of technical competence and awareness of safe aircraft operations, anywhere in the world that includes the United States, Canada, Mexico and other international destinations.
  • Must be able to fully perform all flight related duties. Provide guidance to flight personnel to assure safe, efficient and coordinated use of corporate aircraft.
  • Responsible for the conduct of safe flight operations and the compliance of all applicable FAA regulations, as well as internal Home Depot policies.
  • Serves as Senior Captain (flight responsibilities)
  • Fill Chief Pilot's role during that person's absence
  • Perform administrative support functions, pilot scheduling, invoicing, expense report, etc.
  • Contribute to the promotion and development of the department safety culture and management programs.
  • Select, develop, and motivate assigned staff
