About The Position

At Regions, the Aviation Attendant is responsible for servicing, cleaning, and maintaining the exterior and interior of aircraft, as well as maintaining the hangar or ramp area. This position serves a critical role in ground support, ensuring planes are prepared, safe, and clean for operation.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain a Birmingham Airport Authority (BAA) Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs., up to 100 lbs. with assistance)
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
Ability to work at heights (e.g., lifts)
Understanding of shop safety, foreign object debris (FOD) procedures, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
Must be able to work flexible schedule including occasional holidays and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Experience in logistics, manufacturing, and/or vehicle cleaning/maintenance

Responsibilities

Washes and polishes aircraft exteriors, as well as cleans windows, vacuums, and cleans cabin interiors
Refuels aircraft, refills water and coolant systems, and empties/services lavatory systems
Tows aircraft into and out of hangars using tractors or tugs, and operates miscellaneous ground support equipment
Applies de-icing fluid to aircraft during applicable weather conditions
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe hangar environment
