About The Position

An Avaya Solutions Architect is a senior technology expert responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex Avaya-based communication and contact center solutions that align with specific business objectives. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in Avaya products and strong business and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in Avaya UC (Aura, Communication Manager, Session Manager, etc.) and CC solutions (Elite, Oceana, Workspaces, AEP, etc.), along with a strong understanding of AI, SIP, VoIP, network protocols,
  • Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in software development, architecture, or unified communications solution design and implementation.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is generally required.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Avaya Certified Solutions Architect (ACSA), Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS), Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS), or other certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and architectural frameworks (TOGAF) are often preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business objectives and needs into detailed technical specifications and architecture designs.
  • Solution Design & Architecture: Leading the end-to-end design of scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions, including system integration, high-level software design, and defining integration patterns with third-party applications (AI, API’s, CRM and databases)
  • Implementation Oversight & Leadership: Providing technical leadership and guidance to implementation/development teams (including software engineers, developers, and project managers) throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the solution adheres to the designed architecture and best practices.
  • Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting: Acting as a top-level technical expert for complex system design or operational performance issues, identifying root causes, and devising effective solutions.
  • Documentation & Communication: Creating comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and statements of work (SOWs). Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, from C-level executives to end-users.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Identifying potential project and technical risks, ensuring solutions comply with security policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA), and industry standards.
  • Technology Evaluation: Assessing and recommending technologies, tools, and frameworks, and staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, such as AI and cloud communications (UCaaS/CCaaS).
