About The Position

Inputs guest's orders in micros and collects payment for the goods utilizing cash and credit card transactions.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of cash register, calculator, currency and credit card transactions.
  • Knowledge and compliance with all food and beverage, health, liquor and safety regulations per local applicable laws.
  • Skill in working courteously with the public as well as developing and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Must be able to stand at least eight (8) hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift forty (40) pounds at one time with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to communicate and follow directions effectively.
  • Ability to interpret spoken communication and communicate orally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural manuals.
  • Must present a clean, well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of providing quality guest service(s).
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed.
  • Must have or be able to obtain valid Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers certifications within ninety (90) days of employment.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain a non-gaming license.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months money handling experience in a guest service position.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Processes and communicates guest orders (to prep cooks and bartenders) finalizing payment through cash and credit card transactions.
  • Redeems gift certificates and coupons as payment for transaction.
  • Checks guests for proper wristbands when alcohol is included in the transaction.
  • Initiates and completes sales transaction in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Identifies and resolves order discrepancies with minimal disruption to operation and guest satisfaction.
  • Reconciles cash and credit card transactions.
  • Exhibits initiative and ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
