About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for the support of computer systems and peripherals, premise wiring, telecommunications and network equipment, audio/visual equipment and selected software on the property. Supports end users and guests in a 24x7x365 environment with any problems on the above equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Information Technology, Media Technology, Communications, Hospitality Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Must possess effective communication skills and be computer-literate, with superior troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work with specific computer software such as advanced features of Windows 10 and 11, including Active Directory.
  • Must be familiar with PC and basic networking technology.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret simple documents, such as safety rules and regulations, technical procedure manuals, instructions and basic correspondence, reports and memos.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from system users.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing technical support for meetings, events, or executive-level environments is preferred.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality roles is highly desirable.
  • Completion of, or ongoing progress toward, IT-focused coursework or certifications (e.g., CompTIA ITF+ or A+) preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, technical training, or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members; delivers excellent customer service at all times with professionalism, poise, and discretion.
  • Provides audio/visual setup and technical support for meetings, presentations, and executive-level sessions, ensuring seamless performance of microphones, cameras, displays, speakers, conferencing platforms, and related systems.
  • Demonstrates confidentiality, need-to-know discretion, and executive-level client service when supporting leadership meetings and sensitive discussions.
  • Arrives early and stays as needed for high-priority and executive meetings to ensure full readiness, testing, and on-site support.
  • Ensures flawless meeting execution through proactive pre-event testing, live monitoring, and quick response to issues.
  • Assists presenters, leadership, and board-level participants with technology preparation, confidence checks, and concierge-style support.
  • Maintains and prepares executive meeting spaces and technology environments, ensuring a professional, polished, and consistent experience.
  • Coordinates with the IT Department, Hospitality, Facilities, and leadership staff to schedule and support meetings and events requiring technology resources.
  • Monitors and maintains conference room systems and AV equipment; identifies issues proactively and performs basic troubleshooting and repairs or escalates as needed.
  • When not actively supporting meetings, assists the IT Service Desk by responding to support requests, performing basic troubleshooting, and completing assigned tasks under guidance.
  • Maintains proper security controls, device access, and user rights in accordance with company policy and confidentiality standards.
  • Communicates effectively with system users and internal departments to ensure a high quality of service and operational support.
  • Attends department meetings and supports communication flow across IT and operational teams.
  • Troubleshoots basic hardware, software, and network issues; escalates complex issues to senior staff.
  • Ensures a high level of user satisfaction and service consistency for all supported technology environments.
  • Maintains knowledge of conferencing platforms, AV systems, and business software tools; participates in ongoing training.
  • Assists with vendor coordination for AV systems and technology services as directed.
  • Maintains dependable and regular attendance, including a variable schedule based on meeting and event requirements (early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends).
  • Maintains a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Documents procedures to assist in the day-to-day functioning of the department operations.
  • Performs any reasonable company network or computer-related request made by management.
  • May be used as an usher as needed by management for events.
