About The Position

AutoNation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Autonomous Vehicle Service Advisor to join their team in collaboration with a nationally recognized Autonomous Vehicle Partner. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of the service depot, focusing on the maintenance and repair of autonomous vehicles. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between technicians and the Autonomous Vehicle Partner, ensuring that service standards and expectations are consistently met. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid in-state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service advisor role within the automotive or autonomous vehicle industry.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in using service management software and Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in automotive technology preferred
  • Experience in self-driving systems and their operational processes, highly desirable
  • ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and process repair orders for both warranty and non-warranty work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with OEM standards.
  • Allocate work assignments to Autonomous Vehicle Technicians based on skill set and workload, ensuring optimal efficiency.
  • Monitor repair progress, providing timely updates to the Autonomous Vehicle Partner and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with parts providers to source necessary components, ensuring timely availability to minimize vehicle downtime.
  • Participate in daily service depot meetings, providing insights on performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all service activities, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure repair procedures are being met in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
