About The Position

As the Used Car Manager at Autoworld Kia, part of the Generation Auto Group, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle department. You will play a critical role in driving profitability, managing inventory, sourcing vehicles, and ensuring the success of the used car operation. This role requires a strong understanding of market trends, inventory management, and acquisition strategies, along with the ability to lead and collaborate with the sales team to maximize performance and results. Your Impact The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to: Inventory Management • Manage and maintain optimal used vehicle inventory levels • Price vehicles competitively based on market data and performance metrics • Ensure proper aging management and turn rates • Monitor and adjust inventory strategy to maximize profitability Vehicle Acquisition • Source vehicles through auctions and other wholesale channels • Develop and maintain relationships with auction partners and wholesalers • Identify and pursue alternative acquisition opportunities including trades and direct purchases • Evaluate vehicles for profitability and resale potential Systems & Technology • Utilize vAuto, ProfitTime, and Stockwave to manage inventory, pricing, and acquisition strategies • Analyze performance data and market trends to guide decision-making • Ensure all systems are updated accurately and consistently Sales & Performance • Work closely with the sales team to drive used vehicle sales • Support desking and deal structure to maximize gross • Monitor department performance and implement strategies for improvement • Maintain strong CSI and customer satisfaction standards Third-Party Listings & Marketing • Manage and oversee vehicle listings on third-party platforms • Ensure accurate descriptions, pricing, and merchandising across all sites • Monitor performance of listings and adjust strategy as needed Team Collaboration • Partner with sales managers, finance, and leadership to achieve store goals • Assist in training and development of sales staff as it relates to used inventory • Maintain strong communication across departments

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Used Car Manager
  • Fluent in vAuto, ProfitTime, and Stockwave
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle acquisition including auctions and wholesale outlets
  • Understanding of third-party listing sites and digital merchandising
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and drive profitability
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Valid and clean driver’s license
