Title and Billing Accounting Clerk RBM Automotive Group is seeking an Accounting Associates to support multiple dealership locations in Atlanta, GA. This is an “in-person” position (NOT REMOTE). Candidates should be able to commute daily to our headquarters located on Satellite Blvd in Duluth. You will be responsible for managing various accounting functions specific to the automotive industry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. The ideal candidate would have prior experience working with dealerships and CDK accounting software. We work hard to provide the best level of customer service to our internal and external customers. As a Title Clerk and Billing Clerk – you’re the last piece of the client experience, using your expertise to make sure tag and title paperwork is processed so our clients can enjoy their vehicle purchase.

Requirements

  • Prior to being employed, applicants for employment must participate in RBM’s normal screening process which includes: completing a full employment application; satisfactory criminal, credit and driving records checks (where applicable); in-person interviews and other inquiries.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer.
  • Basic mathematical skills using American units of measure.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve administrative challenges efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with employees and management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Physical activities include: remain stationary for long periods of time, operate office equipment, and repetitive motion.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities is preferred.
  • Experience working with CDK double-entry general ledger accounting (credits/debits) is preferred.
  • Experience processing GA and out-of-state titles and utilizing Title Tec.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales department, clients and state agencies to verify financial and legal documents and trouble shoot problems specific to titles.
  • Accurately prepare and process title and tax documents of vehicles for GA and out-of-state titling.
  • Ensure compliance of state, federal, and local law in processing titles.
  • Administrative fleet billing.
  • Processing wholesale deals and dealer trade transactions.
  • Bill and post sales deals to accounting.
  • Issue checks to tag registration office for fees due and refund checks to customers as needed.
  • Generate and maintain sales people commission reports for payroll purposes.
  • Maintain schedules, account reconciliation, and month end accounting requirements.
  • Prioritize work to meet deadlines and ensure critical tasks are completed.
  • Operate multiple computer applications, phone system, and other office equipment.
  • Abide by company policy and departmental best practices and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
