About The Position

The Automotive Service Technician will work directly with the Lead Mechanic, and Director of Fleet Services to oversee the Vehicle Fleet Center along with Fleet services. This person will be a hands-on technician performing repairs. The goal of which is to ensure smooth operations of all the fleet needs in accordance with industry standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma and Technical School Education or automotive shop employment experience is required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel preferred, Word and Outlook
  • Valid driver's CT license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Service Technician Document and perform work as outlined on Fleet Sheet
  • Ensure all state and federal regulations are always followed including disposal of items and fluids
  • Fleet Operations Complete basic automotive services like mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, check tire pressure, inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary, oil changes, filters replacements, change lights, state safety inspections
  • Maintain accurate records including Repair orders, inspection reports, invoices, and related paperwork.
  • Maintain the proper care and use of all Fleet Center equipment, reporting when repairs or service is needed to prevent loss of productivity.
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
