We are seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance according to dealer and factory standards. This role welcomes technicians, trainees, and apprentices who are motivated to grow within the automotive service industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Michigan Mechanic Certification.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Ability to meet company production and quality standards.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and team collaboration.
  • Willingness to follow lawful instructions and company policies including confidentiality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and review repair orders from dispatcher.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately.
  • Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform authorized repairs.
  • Communicate with Parts Department to acquire necessary parts.
  • Tag, save, and return parts as required, especially for warranty jobs.
  • Notify service advisor if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
  • Document all work performed thoroughly.
  • Road-test vehicles to verify repairs address customer concerns.
  • Conduct quality checks on all completed work.
  • Participate in training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customers’ vehicles.
  • Follow safety and housekeeping policies strictly.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing repair work.
