About The Position
Ocean Honda of Hanover is part of Victory Automotive Group, a family-owned company with over 50 locations nationwide since 1997. Our new air-conditioned shop is opening soon, featuring modern Reynolds and Reynolds Advanced Service software to support our technicians. We invest continuously in both our facilities and staff to maintain a professional and positive work environment. The Automotive Service Technician will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs following established procedures and standards. This role may also include conducting pre-delivery inspections to ensure new vehicles meet quality expectations. The technician must maintain high service standards to guarantee excellent customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies
- Excellent communication skills and professional appearance
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and customer service oriented
- Basic computer and internet skills
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience or certifications (such as ASE) are preferred but not required for entry-level candidates
Responsibilities
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness during service or repair work
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostic tests, and standard maintenance tasks
- Complete all required documentation accurately and comply with regulations and company standards
- Support shop operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, including inventory management
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and shop policies
- Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and educational programs as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team goals
