Location: Castle Hyundai of Downers Grove and Castle Genesis of Downers Grove Available Positions: Skilled Service Technician Apprentice Technician Journeyman Technician What You'll Do As an Automotive Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. You'll work to identify any automotive issues to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. You will test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment. In your role as a Technician, you'll collaborate with the Service Advisor to provide the most accurate information for the customer. What's In It For You? Requirements
- Previous experience as a journeyman, service technician, or mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Teamwork mentality with the ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
