About The Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated Automotive Service Receptionist to join our team in Clinton, NJ. The Automotive Service Receptionist will serve as the welcoming face of our dealership. This role requires a professional who can ensure a positive customer experience while supporting dealership operations. The receptionist will be responsible for effective communication, recordkeeping, and maintaining a professional atmosphere.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one year of reception experience in a retail facility preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Office applications.
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
  • Strong professional communication skills.
  • Ability to work indoors in an administrative setting while welcoming customers.
  • Exposure to variable weather conditions as required by duties.
  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, hear, use hands and fingers, and move throughout the facility regularly.
  • Capability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Vision to adjust focus as needed.
  • Operate equipment safely at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
  • Protect the legal, financial, and ethical standards of the dealership.
  • Maintain accurate filing of receipts and permits for efficient record keeping.
  • Support other employees by sharing knowledge and seeking ways to improve business operations and customer service.
  • Ensure maximum productivity, customer satisfaction, and cost control.
  • Guide customers to appropriate departments for assistance.
  • Verify receipt of payments and permits using consistent tracking methods.
  • Report to work punctually and maintain a reliable schedule to foster a dependable work environment.
  • Carry out management requests and additional duties as assigned.
  • Operate with integrity and uphold high ethical standards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, maintain a neat and safe workspace, and promote a positive attitude.
