The Automotive Service BDC Receptionist plays a vital role by managing inbound and outbound customer calls to schedule sales and service appointments. This position requires excellent communication skills, a courteous phone manner, and the ability to follow established scripts to enhance customer satisfaction and drive appointment bookings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in telemarketing, customer service, automotive, or business development is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with scripts, power tracks, or similar customer contact processes
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor as the first point of customer contact
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and general computer/data entry skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls according to provided scripts and schedule sales or service appointments
  • Make outbound calls to customers for appointment scheduling and follow-ups
  • Log customer comments and update customer information in the database
  • Schedule follow-up contacts when appointments are not made
  • Confirm and reschedule no-show appointments as needed
  • Coordinate with Sales and Service departments to track appointment results
  • Generate and send letters, postcards, and emails following predetermined timelines for customer follow-ups
  • Respond to website customer requests and contact internet leads via phone and email
  • Notify relevant departments when appointments are scheduled
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned
  • Meet or exceed monthly performance goals
